RN - QUALITY SPECIALIST

Job Title – Position Description: ASC Quality Specialist

Reports to: Senior Director, Quality

MISSION

The ASC Quality Specialist under the direction of the Senior Quality Director is responsible for coordination and administration of patient infusions, development and maintenance of policy and procedures, assisting with patient safety investigations and process improvement initiatives, new employee orientation quality/infection control/safety training, and AAAHC mock survey audits/surveys/ corrective action plans for the ambulatory surgery centers to improve operational excellence in patient care and meet regulatory requirements.

OUTCOMES

  • Regular ASC assessment, monitoring, education, and training regarding infection control, quality and accreditation requirements of all regulatory agencies, to include but not limited to; Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS), Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC), and Occupation Health and Safety (OSHA),
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of policy and procedures in the ambulatory surgery centers to meet federal, state, and accrediting bodies.
  • Performs and coordinates patient infusions per policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate and assist with implementation of process improvement initiatives across all ASC locations.
  • Facilitate patient safety investigations and action plans to improve patient care.
  • Effectively leads clinical new hire and annual ambulatory surgery center competencies and employee health.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with leadership, site managers, staff, and physicians.
